Solo mining odds calculator — Fast. Private. Transparent.

Litecoin Calculator

Calculate your chances of finding a Litecoin block as a solo miner. The silver to Bitcoin's gold.

How It Works

🧮

The Math

Your probability of finding a block is proportional to your hashrate vs the total network hashrate. We use P(≥1 block) = 1 − (1 − p)n where n is the number of blocks in the period.

Steps

  • Select your coin above
  • Enter your hashrate in any unit
  • Hit Calculate — results are instant
  • No data is ever sent anywhere

100% Private

All calculations happen in your browser. No server, no tracking, no account needed. The network stats are based on public data — your numbers never leave your device.

Network Data

I Will Solo is an open tool for solo Litecoin miners who want to understand their odds of hitting a block based on their hashrate. Litecoin uses the Scrypt algorithm and is often called the "silver to Bitcoin's gold".

Assumptions & Notes

  • Algorithm: Scrypt
  • Network hashrate: ~2.00 TH/s
  • Block time: ~2.5 minutes
  • Network hashrate based on Scrypt algorithm.
  • Results are educational, not financial advice.
  • Solo mining is rare and high-risk — but possible.

FAQ

Since both Litecoin and Dogecoin use the Scrypt algorithm, miners can mine both simultaneously through merged mining at no extra cost. When you solo mine Litecoin, you could potentially find Dogecoin blocks too, effectively doubling your mining rewards.
Litecoin uses the Scrypt algorithm, which requires ASIC miners for competitive mining. Popular options include the Antminer L7 and L9 series. GPU mining Litecoin is no longer profitable due to the high network hashrate.
Approximately 576 Litecoin blocks are mined per day, with a target block time of 2.5 minutes. Each block currently rewards 6.25 LTC (after the August 2023 halving).

It's hard, but not impossible 🎯

Finding a Litecoin block with a small hashrate is extremely rare — but it's not impossible. Just like winning the lottery or flipping ten heads in a row, statistically improbable events do happen. Every day, someone somewhere gets lucky. Maybe that someone could be you. ⛏️

Event Estimated Odds
Getting struck by lightning in a year 1 in 1,220,000
Flipping 10 heads in a row 1 in 1,024
Being dealt a royal flush in poker 1 in 649,740
Winning the lottery (EuroMillions) 1 in 139,838,160
Being struck by lightning twice in a week 1 in 9,000,000,000 (estimated)
